With its well respected College of Fine Arts, Student Activities Board, and Multicultural Affairs, the University hosts a busy schedule of theater, music and art productions, as well as concerts, speakers and ethnic events.

A member of the Lone Star Conference, Eastern offers scholarships in a wide variety of varsity sports, as well as an active intramural program for other students. There also are student organizations for almost every interest.

The school’s tuition is the fifth lowest among public universities in the Southwest, and the ACT scores of incoming freshmen is above the state average. Eastern also is designated as a “Hispanic Serving Institution” by the federal government.

Eastern offers students free counseling and tutoring, as well as generous financial aid and numerous scholarships – some automatically awarded based on ACT scores.

In the last 10 years, ENMU has upgraded its campus with more than $100 million in construction projects, including constructing or renovating state-of-the-art classroom buildings, athletic facilities and a new residence hall.

While the campus has grown since its 1934 opening from one building to many, and academic programs have grown from a handful to more than 91 associate, bachelor and master degree options accredited by regional and national agencies, one thing that has not changed is the character of the people that make up the “Eastern Experience.” Eastern truly is an institution whose faculty and staff practice the personal touch.

Whatever students’ goals and aspirations, ENMU does everything it can to help them achieve success – from financial and academic assistance to personal counseling. At ENMU, everyone puts students first.

Eastern is confident that students who attend Eastern New Mexico University will find that ENMU actually practices its slogan: “Student Success, That’s What It’s All About.”
